Steve Thomas had been avidly collecting records and obscure mixes for some time. A regular club goer at the infamous Shoom, he soon secured a residency at the groundbreaking Labyrinth in Dalston, East London in the early days of rave.

It wasn't until a very smashed TRADE Resident (Malcolm Duffy) came his way that Steve really struck gold. Malcolm and TRADE'S Laurence Malice were at Labyrinth one night when Malcolm was drunk, too drunk in Laurence's opinion to play at TRADE, so Steve was asked to step in.Steve played, rocked the joint, and was offered a residency at the club the following week - a post he held and developed for years at London's legendary and ground breaking afterhours.

As well as playing for TRADE and his weekly residency at DTPM _ Fabric (8 years), Steve has played for Cream, Vague, Bug Jam, Gatecrashers, Ministry of Sound and all other major clubs and events across the UK. Worldwide he has been a resident Ibiza at Privilege, Amnesia, Space, and has toured Japan, USA, South America, China, Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore) all alongside regular gigs in Europe covering Paris, Berlin, Dublin, Roma, Madrid, Barcelona to name but a few.

One of Steves' highlights has to be his residency alongside Danny Tenaglia at Twilo in New York. Steve is still the only person ever to play a two hour prime slot in the middle of Tenaglias mammoth sets, not once but every time he played there.

This summer (2011) Steve will be touring europe and he has already completed some enormous gigs including the Magna centre, Sheffield (7500 people) and a dance weekender for 4000 in Liverpool.

Steve was also a partner in the Tripoli Trax record label, releasing his own tracks under guises such as The Experts and Fruitloop as well as under his own name. He has also remixed hundreds of other tracks for many other artists including many which have successfully charted in the UK top 10. Steve has also compiled and mixed many dj albums (many selling over 30.000 copies) including The best of Tripoli Trax selling over 35.000 copies

Steve has also performed live on many national radio shows across the UK and various countries of the world including the ever famous Essential mix for Pete Tongs Saturday evening show and many other slots for Radio 1

Recently Steves studio work includes tracks with production partner Nick Tcherniak, their recent track My People hitting the number 1 download spots in several sites and gaining support from some of the biggest names on the House scene today, including Trent Cantrelle, DJ Pippi and Peter Gelderblom. Other new productions for Jason Phats have also been hugely successful club hits - The Answer/Pill ep feat Lizzie was highly acclaimed and future releases for Steve will feature collaborations with Abi Bailey on vocals as well as a number of singles released over the coming months with New York City based Sonido Recordings.
